SIC (US 1987) : The South Adams Food Service Department would like to thank all who participated in our initial questionnaire at registration to provide us with helpful feedback. This feedback helps us improve and know what we can strive towards achieving in the days to come. While some adjustments will continue to be made over the course of the school year, please note our school is required to meet compliance of the State of Indiana requiring our meals to meet restrictions in regards to calories, fat, sodium, fruit/vegetable servings as well as limiting of high calorie foods such as condiments. All foods served including sauces, condiments, seasonings must be accounted for in the daily meal pattern and are specific to age group.
We would also like to encourage you to visit our snack bar which currently has yogurt, brownies, cookies, salads, a variety of chip options, fruit cups as well as fresh fruit/vegetables, applesauce cups, fruit snacks, pudding cups, granola bars, Gatorade, a variety of drinks and more. We appreciate your feedback and will take into consideration your thoughts as we focus on future menus and food ordering. Please note that while there are many foods we enjoy in the comfort of our own homes, we are unable to serve them in the school cafeteria due to federal regulations.
