The Friends of the Library is made up of a dedicated group of people who love libraries. They donate their time, sponsor events, and even operate a bookstore inside the Main Library.
The Fairfield County Literacy Council provides free reading help to adults. It was organized in February 1972. In 1981, the Fairfield County District Library began to provide support to it.
